Notes from New Year's Celebration 2011

During the long journey home, I took some time to reflect upon my new position as secretary of the Ray Family gatherings.  Times have changed, and with a new regime, changes in traditions and responsibilities are in order.  Therefore, I have decided that we will forgo the usual newsletter in lieu of a family blog.  This blog can not only serve to remind us of the great times we have had together, but can also help us stay connected throughout the year.

Since we are all so spread out across the country, it is very easy to lose touch with the ones we love.  Phone calls are often inconvenient, and visits are a rarity.  So I propose that whenever anyone gathers for football games, birthdays, or visits another member of the family, they post a little blurb and maybe a couple photos to keep everyone involved and up-to-date in each other's lives.

How to Participate:
In order to add content to the site, all you need is a google account such as gmail.  Just send me your gmail address and I will add you as an author.  Once you are an author, you will have the ability to make posts, and share pictures (either directly on the site in a post or by an outside link).  If you are daunted by this task, you can just send me the info and I will post it for you.

I know this will not be easy for everybody, but there are enough of us with computer knowledge to help those without.

  1. I love the new "Amazing Rays"

I had to vote for four events but I am not sure it recorded all four of my votes. Ben coming, then Perogie making, bowling in our own suite, and of course "The Orange" which was really a very small clementine.

    Love you all.

  3. I'm participating in my first BLOG. Isn't this COOL!! Loni is really keeping us current. I voted first for BEN. Of course, he is my baby, but none of it would have been the same if he (or any of YOU) weren't there. The food, the games, the drink can't replace the PEOPLE. After that, Patty was just too funny going down under and then if a game causes one to wee wee in their panties, then it has to be GOOD!
